1) Hannibal's clothes 2) Freddy Lounds' clothes, and her gargantuan eyes, and how I want to move into her wardrobe and live there. 3) The cooking scenes.
I may be Doing It Wrong.
About halfway through, once I'd been desensitized to the gore, I started cooking really elaborate, albeit vegetarian meals, and eating them in front of the TV. I suspect many people do this.
It's also, I have to say, one of the most unsettling things I've ever watched. I have had multiple nightmares. (Which are more fun than the school-related nightmares I normally have, so.)
I don't feel this strong attachment to the characters, though. It's weird. I think it's because they're so stylized.
A big part of what I love is the layered writing, and the wonderful, wonderful dialog. The first season episode with all the dialog between Jack and Bella is a thing of beauty.
And that sound from the season 1 finale -- that whirring sound that Will keeps hearing, initially in his dream where we first see the stag man -- it's so *interesting*.
The killer-of-the-week storyline from the Season 2 premiere creeped me out far more than the mushroom farmer, and that mushroom farmer really kinda creeped me out.
I've been rewatching it with Sio -- we're still in the first season, and watching Will's descent is just so sad.
