Survival is Triumph Enough

Back from Dystopia Rising: North! We had a fantastic second game.

I am a bit gloaty at the moment because I was running an overarc (an involved plot that lasts the entire weekend), and:

1) I got the first in-game deaths: two kills and a suicide.

2) As a result of the above, I currently hold the record for Most Murderous Storyteller.

3) I got the first in-game PLAYER TEARS.

4) The other STs are jealous. :)

5) People were completely unaware that the character I was playing for half of the game was an NPC and accordingly reacted as though she was a real character and were really upset that they had to kill her for the good of the town. (Three times, no less—twice as herself, once as a particularly creepy zombie.)

6) My plot was everything I hoped it would be and more.


We were a little short on photographers this game, but I managed to snap a few quick ones with my cell.


1) My actual character and her commune "brother" arrived in town, barricaded one of the buildings, and posted this as a warning to anyone who tried to get in. Then they engaged in a detailed debate about the reproduction of labour power, as the kids call it these days. The local ruling class was Not. Amused.

2) The thing I sent out to fuck with the entire town on Saturday night because I am a terrible person.

Tomorrow I am off again, this time to Seattle. Now to sort through ALL THE EMAIL.
