my buddy from school who is, sadly, a republican, was going on about how team america was so great because it makes fun of liberals and then i finally watched it and i was like, oh, oh no, he completely missed the entire point of the movie and that is so sad.
A libertarian Republican who feels unfairly caricatured as a bible thumping homophobe. I agree with charlemagne77 below: you choose your bedfellows, you sleep with them.
At least Trey Parker had enough principles to go to the Libertarian Party. The Republican Party has been sucking up to America's home grown mutaween for 25 years. So stop whining and get on your knees. You'll find that Pat Robertson's nuts require extra attention today.
What's most amusing about that catchphrase is the way in which it was hijacked by social conservatives like Brian Anderson of City Journal. As much as I love the budding ubermensch Eric Cartman, and as grateful as I am of Andrew Sullivan's vigilance toward homophobia on the right, so-called libertarian-conservatives deserve whatever they get for making common cause with the Republican party.
