Link to article (hit the funny bit about how to identify an anarchist) collectivized from
crudocrust while "masking up" for a "direct action." Because we don't believe in property!

Slum update: Hot water to be restored Monday morning. It'd bloody well better be.

Date: 2005-07-17 10:00 pm (UTC)One time an aquaintence was pulled over wear a black bandana on her head. The cop ask he if she was in a "straight-edge gang" and tried to use her supposed membership in said gang as cause to search her car.
Once she pretended to make a phone call to her lawyer on her cell the pig stopped that shit pretty fast.
Sad but true.

Date: 2005-07-17 05:57 pm (UTC)there are so many wonderful ways to express your inner fascist.
Andrej met this girl at this anarchist university party we were at who he said goes well with his communist (lazy fascist) side.

Date: 2005-07-18 01:55 am (UTC)If it's an Anarchist U person, though, I think I've spoken to her on the phone. It had something to do with getting Uprising kids to Montreal, so Uprising would be your best starting place. I've already unwittingly involved myself in one escapade too many tonight, however, so I'm not sure how useful I can be in that respect.

Do not know much more than the info you have.
Time is slowly killing the interest, but that one experience of meeting with her fell on me like an anvil on a coyote in a roadrunner cartoon.
If she can do that to me in one conversation, I do want to talk to her again. If it can be.

Date: 2005-07-18 02:12 am (UTC)Granted, my switch from wearing excessive amounts of black to wearing lighter tones was motivated primarily by being adopted by an Every-Coloured Cat with a shedding problem, but I can claim that it was ideological.

Date: 2005-07-18 04:44 am (UTC)I found their analysis to be pretty in-depth, and mostly accurate (although there were some funny moments). They did a pretty good job of summing up some of the major debates in the community, and identifying major challenges an infiltrator faces. And there was a tacit admission of the use of agents provacteurs (when reviewing some of our strategic arguments against black blocs). I wish they had discussed their own strategy a bit more in-depth, but the authors were too smart for that.
And the ultimate conclusion was a bit chilling. Basically, they're recommending monitoring the anarchist movement not only because of the "criminal" acts we do in the name of activism, but because of the potential to actually develop into a revolutionary movement.
I don't like that the cops can write this good of an article about us.
