R.I.P.

For those of you who haven't heard it on FB, gillen reportedly died this weekend of natural causes at the age of 45. I don't know any more than that, but his sister broke the news and would like it passed on.

I never met him IRL, but he was a long-time friend here, and one of the funniest, coolest, and most insightful people I've ever encountered, on or offline, with an acerbic wit matched only by his razor sharp politics.

Rest In Power. You will be missed.

There ought to be some kind of formalized mourning ritual for people you only know virtually. Because in a sense I've known him over a decade and also I never met him.

I don't know and don't want to speculate, but I think things like heart attacks are generally classed as natural causes.
