You can be jailed without being charged with anything.
You do not have the right to know why you have been detained.
You cannot be tortured, so the torturers will simply change the definition of torture.
You can be executed on the basis of testimony that you've given while you are beingtortured enthusiastically questioned.
You can be executed on the basis of evidence given by someone else, while that person was being tortured.
If your lawyer wants to defend you, he or she has to run it by the government first.
