I don't blog my dreams as much anymore but trust me on this one.


The setting was Anne of Green Gables, except that everyone had magic and most people could, for whatever reason, turn into giant sloths at will.

There had been a murder by magical means, and I/Anne was investigating it. The murderer had been a giant sloth at the time of the murder. I ended up at the deathbed of a very old man. My fingertips were peeling off and the pain was distracting from what he was saying. The old man was demonstrating the problem—most of the population of PEI could transform into sloths, and they were very hard to tell apart. But, he showed, it was very difficult to manipulate a magic wand with sloth claws well enough to kill someone. I tried, and he was right; I couldn't even pick up a wand with my claws. So I needed to find the most dexterous sloth in PEI, and that would be the murderer.

Yup, that's a truly awesome dream; I look forward to the sequel in which, presumably, you will hold a contest offering an Enormous Prize to the most dextrous of all the dextrous sloths in PEI.

The prize for being the most dextrous sloth in PEI is a murder conviction. But this is an excellent way to catch the killer.

It was the first dream in ages where I've woken up and wanted to go back to sleep to finish the dream.

It's funny because I know the inspiration of every part of that dream. None of it symbolizes anything. It's actually just about weresloths because I think about weresloths a lot.

Your weresloth magical version of Anne of Green Gables may end up being being better than the remake.
