While Abu Mazen gloats over winning the "election" to become Palestine's latest prison guard, I am at home dealing with a slum landlord of my own.

Because the hot water has gone out once again. This means that now I don't have hot water at home or at work.

It might look like I'm doing a happy dance of sarcastic joy, but that's actually me shivering after having accidentally stepped into a bathtub full of FREEZING COLD water.

Also, the nice Kurdish commies seem to have packed up their shwarma joint and gone elsewhere. I hope this doesn't mean the end of recycled heat from their ovens, or it is going to be a very long, cold winter.

Now taking bets on how many days/weeks before I can take a shower again.

You lose! It's back on. (I think it really affected my landlord when I threatened to withhold rent for every day I didn't have hot water.)

I think far more landlord-tenant disputes would get settled in a favourable way if everyone used your methods.

I would think that since it's totally voluntary, we'd get to choose. *radiates the power of choice*

If most of your tomorrow is netless or busy, it might be better to start on Wednesday. If it's just 24 hours of flist posts, we can do today/tonight and scroll backward. I have a mild preference for starting Wednesday because it seems more immediate to read them as they are posted, but will happily do whatever suits your schedule.

I intend to make a lengthy commentary at some point, but I need to get some sources to back up what I'm saying. One can't just go around making unfounded accusations. Well, I could...
