DRIPPING WET PUSSY!
Jan. 16th, 2005 01:05 amThings got worse during the LJ blackout. I don't really want to talk about it right now. Expect not a lot of fun from me from here on in.
In the meantime, here's a funny thing that happened:

ETA: Yes, that song actually was playing when Marinetti pulled his not-so-suave move. Sometimes the universe does line up in my favour. Just not, y'know, when I want it to.

Date: 2005-01-16 03:29 pm (UTC)Yeah, Marinetti kept trying to eat candles when we first got him, even though it burned his whiskers.

Also: My cat P (who I miss very much) loved water. He used to jump up on me while I was showering. Hee. He was a bit of a freak, that one.

Date: 2005-01-16 10:50 am (UTC)sometimes I just dip her tail into the water when it's at about body temperature, just to see how long it takes her to notice...
why are cats so damn obsessed with being around us when we're taking a bath, anyway?

Date: 2005-01-16 08:22 pm (UTC)I was wishing I had my digital camera (sort of) when I was in the tub yesterday morning. Salamander was sitting on my knee, leaning waaaay over, and drinking the tub water. I'm wondering if I should worry - does she think hot water is tastier when I'm in it? Does she want human soup?
I love the illustrations. So much better than the comics in the paper.

Date: 2005-01-16 11:44 pm (UTC)The plumber was doing pipework and left a big hole in the shower wall for the theoretical tile guy to repair. To avoid getting water in the wall, I duct-taped a black garbage bag over the hole in the meantime. (You can tell where this is going.) While taking a shower, I hear this sudden and unsettling keening. It is un-earthly and emanating from everywhere. I couldn't imagine what it was until a sudden bulge formed in the plastic and slithered over the the right. It was, of course, Dot - who was just as surprised by the surrounding sounds that I was making.

Date: 2005-01-17 12:20 am (UTC)I had not taped Dot inside the wall. I had only taped the top part of the garbage bag to form a sort of curtain (so the shower had both an inner and outer curtain). After the incident, I taped down a cardboard barrier and covered that with plastic, sealing it all around.
