what the fuck is wrong with this guy? I saw a report about how Harper is 'targetting ethnic communities' with anti-gay marriage ads...because like we're all a bunch of homophobic asswipes...nice! and I love how "ethnic" people are "good" homophobes when it means stopping marriage and "bad" homophobes when we need to bomb their countries.
I saw the equivalent pamphlet in the US; photos Black (heterosexual) families and text about why gay marriage is teh evil. It's almost too bizarre to contemplate.
But Jaz, if you do'nt make some exclusive institution of marriage, how will people know that it is the most valuable social interaction? How will people know to value one lover over all their friends and families? How would the police know when violence is "okay" because it's just a "domestic" with a husband beating up on his wife? And how would they know when sexual assault wasn't really sexual assault, because it was just his wife? How else to stick folks in unhappy lives, legally and economically bound to one another?
Honestly, you don't want people to be happy do you? Crazy talk.
