What a fucking night!

 I did Election Night training tonight, and everyone was whispering news of a big bombshell. They asked me if I could canvas afterwards, and I requested a small one, given my general fatigue level. Of course, I got a 2-hour one, but I didn't mind so much since I got the best canvas buddy ever, the VP of the nurses' union, who is hilarious and delightful and immediately declared that there is no music other than 80s British music, unless it comes from Africa, and also is a Doctor Who nerd and just basically great.

And then I returned home and saw that Renata Fucking Ford, widow of Rob (and y'all know my nickname for him), is suing Doug Ford for swindling her and her kids out of millions. Three days before the election. The most unlikely Heroine of the People has come to save the province in our most desperate hour, and I will build her a massive statue made out of the purest cocaine and worship at her feet for all eternity if she delivers us from a Tory government. Holy shit.

Keep your fingers crossed for all of us here in this long-suffering province.

Worried because apparently some of his supporters are claiming it’s all a revenge plot by Patrick Brown; but it might at least dissuade those who were going to vote for him out of loyalty to Rob.

Is this the sort of thing Ford supporters/floating voters are likely to care about? Has Ford yet acquired Trump-like levels of immunity to scandal among his supporters?

A certain percentage of Ford supporters really love Rob, and they don't like Doug as much, so the latter fucking over the former's widow and children has the potential to be one of those rare scandals that they care about (as opposed to all the election fraud, illegal collection of data, threatening constituents, vote-buying, etc., scandals that they don't care about).

Anyway, it's too close to call, so I'm just going to work my ass off to get my local candidate elected and hope for the best.
