Mother has gone missing. I suspect my stepfather's not the irresponsible sort of person who would misplace his wife, but since she currently has The SARS, I'm a bit concerned. My grandmother called me up just now to ask where my mum was, to which I replied that I'm not normally given to calling sick people first thing on a Sunday morning when they should be sleeping, but since she does things like that, she discovered that my mom is Not At The House. (For that matter, neither is my stepfather, which might imply that they're out for breakfast.) As if I don't have enough to worry about.

I came across this cautionary tale on [livejournal.com profile] zombie_survival. Apparently, being prepared for a possible zombie outbreak means that you hate America and freedom and babies. That's not surprising, though, is it? We can talk about the Bush administration's complicity in zombie propagation, if you'd like.

I also saw a clever alteration of a Constantine poster on the subway yesterday. I didn't have my camera, but this is a pretty faithful recreation, except that the one I saw also had Wyld Stallions written on it.

EDIT: Nope, mom is just asleep, and still very sick. The feeling in the back of my throat suggests that I caught it, too.

Argh!

I'm glad your mom is located, and sorry to hear she's sick. I hope the back of your throat is lying to you. I'll bring the echinachea, just in case. There's o.j. here, fresh squozen; if you want some, let me know.

I have moved from mostly sniffly to somewhat coughing. I don't know if this is improvement, but it's certainly progress.

Hugs.

I sanitized my hands, like every five minutes! And I stayed home on Friday! And we mostly didn't sit in the same area, because you weren't at your desk. And it's not my fault nobody got any sleep last week! Waaaaah!

Sniff. sniff. sniffle.

I have cat things. Must now find a vet.

Lexington, KY is just a stone's throw from Louisville. I wonder if I should be concerned about zombie stories being written in my backyard. ... Apart from [livejournal.com profile] jordansc's, I mean.

Isn't there something about that in the Second Amendment? Something about the right to form a militia and bear arms not being infringed?

But it doesn't say that. And really, which do you think is the greater threat?
