 Doug Ford apparently takes time in his busy schedule of dismantling all forms of civilization in Ontario and procuring off-the-books RVs to meet with LobsterBoi. (God, I love FOI requests; everyone should know how to make them.) The subject may have had to do with abolishing the Ontario Human Rights Commission so that he can continue abolishing human rights without the threat of someone telling him to not do that, accompanied by a stern glare.

P.S. Like father, like daughter. Kyla Ford is also an illegal drug dealer; wonder if Daddy will whip out his OPP goon squad to arrest her.

I hadn’t been tracking Lobsterboi recently, and while I’m fairly sure that dismantling the OHRC would be unconstitutional we also know the high regard in which Neo-cons and their ilk hold the constitution and constitutional norms.

That's the thing: They just. Don't. Care. It'll be ruled unconstitutional after it's a fait accompli. Now that they've figured this out (thank you, Liberals), it's open season on everything.

Which means we need to make it clear pre-emptively that Peterson's "advice" on this point must be ignored.

Eliminating the commission means amending Ontario's Human Rights Code. FWIW, there's no stealth way to do this. The commission is established in the legislation.

Assuming worst-case scorched earth, repealing the entire Ontario human rights legislation still leaves federal protections in place, including bill C-16 (2016) that added gender expression and gender identity.
