Muppet debate, part 3

IT'S SLAVOJ TIME
Zizek starts by talking about China's economic success.
Zizek you are using big words Peterson will not understand this.
China is successful because it's both authoritarian and capitalistic, but are people happier there?
Happiness is a problematic notion to begin with. Human nature is to sabotage happiness. The worst thing that can happen is that we get what we want. Searching for happiness isn't the point of existence.
Modernity means that we are responsible for our own burdens rather than ceding that responsibility to some authority.
Zizek calls Trump the ultimate postmodern president.
I think Zizek has a crush on Bernie Sanders.
If there is a god, everything is permitted to those who believe in that god. Same with Stalinists. I thought Zizek was into Stalin.
IDEOLOGY *drinks* is all about how to make good people do bad things
There's a lot of trashing left-liberals. Zizek doesn't like identity politics any more than Peterson does.
He's explaining ideology and the role of scapegoating (women in a marriage, Jews in Nazi Germany, immigrants in modern day Europe) very concisely but I don't Peterson is going to understand this.
DO THE TOILET SPEECH ZIZEK
Haha Zizek just called out Peterson for his attachment to the "cultural Marxism" conspiracy theory.
And now we're back to capitalism.
I am deeply enjoying the way that Zizek is subtly implying that Peterson is a Nazi. And by subtle I mean that it's as subtle as the portrait of Stalin that hangs over both of their beds.
Liberals never ask why our liberal society produced Trump, but liberalism opens the space for Trump's populism.
I think Peterson got all of the coke. Zizek isn't sniffing nearly as much as he normally does.
Zizek points out that Sanders' radical position is just mainstream European consensus of 50 years ago.
LOBSTERSSSS!
Ready your socialism, Peterson is about to get publicly owned.
Nature is full of improvisation, not necessarily structured hierarchies.
Zizek explains evolution using French wine and cheese.
SNIFF!
SNIFF!
Lobsters with wine and cheese.
AND SO ON AND SO ON
there's my Slavoj
Zizek quotes the Bible to question the idea of natural hierarchy. This is a very strange debate.
Slavoj you are a chaos dragon
you are a swamp witch
it's so cute that you think that Peterson has read Kierkegaard.
It's quite clear that Peterson didn't read all of Zizek's 10,000 books but Zizek read all 2 of Peterson's.
So why is Zizek still a communist when capitalism won the 20th century? Does today's global capitalism contain contradictions? Threat of ecological catastrophe, biogenetics, apartheid—we need to act in a large scale, collective way to deal with them. Capitalism requires infinite growth, screw the environment.
Zizek goes all weird futurist. We are all going to be FULLY AUTOMATED LUXURY SPACE COMMUNISTS.
Socialism or barbarism, basically.
The camera is going to pan over to Peterson to show his head exploded, Scanners style.
Your computer chips come from the Congo, welcome to the free market.
Zizek's gone overtime.
Global capitalism with a human face, e.g., Bill Gates, but it's a symptomatic treatment. We're complicit in the systems that cause massive waves of migration, and we need to solve the root problems.
We're sliding towards apocalypse, so fuck optimism. The light at the end of the tunnel is another train. Haha.
