It could be 55,000 It is over 55,000

Anyone know why the Medecins Sans Frontieres site is down? (Not the American one; that's up.) Is it because of high traffic?

EDIT: Yep, it's down due to a complete overload.

via Making Light, here's a blog with up-to-date information and links on how to help: The South-East Asia Earthquake and Tsunami.

Keep in mind there are no confirmed figures for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands - BBC World was saying there could be as many as 7,000 dead there.

It is probably due to high traffic. If the human race had had its act together as a civilization this would be the worst disaster in a century.
Hopefully there won't be any aftershocks making things even worse

yeah the MSF site has been regularly weird ever since I can remember it, but other MSF sites are up though (except the UK one cos it's on the MSF domain. I'm gonna post an e-mail from an Indonesian student in EL about how others can help.
