Yeah, uck. Well, we don't have a policy around it, and the discussion is interesting enough that I don't want to delete it. But I agree that it is annoying.
well there's other things you can do if they fail to comply, and one thing moderators CAN do to posts is undo what the users did (i.e. unfreeze threads and unscreen responses) in the edit post options. usually a warning from a moderator is sufficient
