 @siderea posted about the darkest timeline. Trigger warning for genocide, racism, homophobia, ableism, etc.  American-centric, tackling the big question of malice or incompetence. FWIW I don't agree with all her conclusions, particularly around the Holocaust, but it's a good long read if you want to make yourself really upset.
