Reading Wednesday
Feb. 17th, 2021 04:40 pmI guess this is the Rush Limbaugh is finally dead edition! And also an edition where I'm tensely waiting with my phone on for the vet to call, which is less good.
Currently reading: Plain Bad Heroines by Emily M. Danforth. I am still reading this 580-page tome. It's still really good! I find the 1903 storyline more compelling than the present-day oneānot that it's also not good, but because I like creepy Edwardian boarding school settings more than actors-filming-a-project settings. Did I mention it also has illustrations? Anyway it's worth 580 pages of your time, at least thus far. What better way to celebrate Limbaugh's death than a book where everyone is really gay?

Date: 2021-02-17 10:20 pm (UTC)LIMBAUGH IS DEAD, WHOOOOO I had one commute on a city bus where the goddamn bus driver listened to Limbaugh EVERY AFTERNOON. ALL AFTERNOON. And it was LOUD. By the end of one week every single passenger was wearing headphones.

Date: 2021-02-17 10:33 pm (UTC)Bus drivers listen to talk radio there? So weird. The only time I've ever been on a bus with radio was in Mexico where there are these cute minibus things that have themes and the drivers play good music.
