Currently reading: Indigenous Toronto: Stories that Carry This Place, edited by Denise Bolduc, Mnawaate Gordon-Corbiere, Rebeka Tabobondung, Brian Wright-McLeod and John Lorinc. This remains really excellent! I don't know why it's taking me so long to read—I'm just really tired. The middle section is all stories of influential Indigenous people in Toronto, at least one of whom I kindasorta know, which is cool.

It might be dense and chewy with goodness (it sounds like it) which can take awhile to consume.

This is true. There's nothing in it that feels skimmable.
