Just finished: The Jaguar Mask by Michael J. DeLuca. One of those books that made me feel I need to up my game. It checked so many of my boxes: magical realism, noir, activism, climate catastrophe, and carried its prose-poem style throughout an impressive amount of pages and plot. 

Currently reading: The Hunger of Those Who Built It by Wendy Waring. Another Stelliform book, this one an ARC. Also climate fiction (that's Stelliform's jam), it's about a gated sustainable community in Paris, and alternates between Lou, an activist who has infiltrated a work crew to steal seeds from their horde, and their aunt Diane, who builds communities like it with the best of intentions. I just started, but it's very good so far, and seems to be exploring the way in which green technologies can still be harnessed in service of an elite.

Sold! Also the author is a cool person who makes post-industrial cider.
