Because a kittenbunny is inherently fluffy and useless, and therefore not really a useful part of the collective.
Probably something like a llamachicken is the opposite of a pigdog.

Cows grow up slowly.
Pigs grow up quickly.
Cows bred for food and milk.
Pigs bred for food, and sometimes as pets.
Cows smell bad.
Pigs smell bad.
Cows are big.
Pigs are big.
I'm just not entirely convinced, though I'm prepared to admit that I can't come up with a more opposite animal. Maybe a chinchilla?
Cowchilla?

Cows are kosher.

There's also the chance that octopus is the opposite of pig, but...

Date: 2006-03-27 07:57 pm (UTC)But if you want to argue that pigs are lazy, you could go with bees or beavers who, in contrast to capitalist pigs, are collectivist. Hence paddle-tailed cats or bumble cats. However, whether cats are collectivist or industrious remains problematic.

Re: Making a Raccatt
Date: 2006-03-27 08:24 pm (UTC)How about a "masked raccatt," which is admittedly redundant?
Masked raccatts would, of course, have big, fluffy tails and wiggle their rears when they walk. They would also have a penchant for dumpster diving, overturning trash cans, fighting on roofs and washing corn before they eat it.

Date: 2006-03-27 08:33 pm (UTC)Hence, the origin of the bastardized phrase, "making a racket." Indeed, the first tennis rackets were made of masked raccatt gut, which is why they were originally called "raccatt bats" (later shortened to just "rackets").

Date: 2006-03-27 06:49 pm (UTC)In addition to being an excellent documentary, it had the greatest soundtrack of any documentary ever! It had ...
not one ...
not two ...
not three ...
But FOUR Tom Waits songs in it. It opened with "What's He Building in There?" ("... We have a right to know.") followed shortly by "Straight to the Top" (Vegas Version). Later we heard "Temptation" and the credits closed with "God's Away on Business" ("For a buck / For a buck ... The ship is sinking / The ship is sinking ..."). In retrospect, I'm quite surprised they didn't play "Step Right Up."
The soundtrack was awesome overall. It included Billie Holliday's "God Bless the Child," the Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of These)" and (ironically) Oingo Boingo's "There's Nothing Wrong With Capitalism."

Date: 2006-03-27 10:46 pm (UTC)Anyway, my primary candidate was "cactushummingbird", pronounced with an "sh" sound. The secondary is "lichenhummingbird", once I realized I forgot to consider the hot-dry binary axis. (Pronounced with an "nh!" sound).
It's definitely not as mellifuous and graceful or symmetrical and concise as "pigdog", but that in itself is intentional, another couple axes of opposition.
Down with pigdog oppressors!
Up with Comrade Cactushummingbirds!
