Honestly, I thought it was a good ending. (Doctor Who, that is, not the World Cup.) I could have done with less emotional manipulation, mind you, but it was probably the happiest ending they could have given Rose, if she could get over her need to feel speshul for a bit. She started off the New Series poor, working at a job she hated, her relationship in a rut, and pining for the father she never had. She ends up fabulously wealthy, with a cool job, and her parents back together, and both alive, which was why she wanted to travel through time in the first place. She might have to fight Jake for Mickey, though. But there was not much else they could have done with her storyline, so it's all for the best and I'm looking forward to Martha.

I loved how the Cybermen and the Daleks felt the need to snark at each other before the shooting started. Once again, the world gets saved because Evil cannot STFU.

Oh, and the other thing I loved? People's Republic! Alt!Earth has zeppelins and is communist so it is therefore perfect.

We now return to your usual political commentary and cat photos.

"You are better at dying!"

The snarking was funny. I was hoping they would end up playing the dozens, but it was funny anyhow. Gratuitous cheese.

Haha! I know. I think I actually said out loud, "oh snap!". Yes, it was a awesome geekfest. I like that they've gone out of their way to keep a lot of the classic Dr. Who cheese.

Well, there's that whole thing with Tennant being so utterly HOTT and also, y'know, a TARDIS.

Germany should occupy Italy again for the sake of soccer ally France.

Duh? Wheres My World Cup Commentary?

Where's the World Cup commentary? Bugger Doctor Who. I know I'm the only freak who doesn't like Doctor Who.
And I'm glad Italy won, but I would have like to see the French captain, if they had won, have the balls to accept the trophy after his behaviour on the pitch. What a complete shite to headbutt someone in the chest.

Awesome!

Did you see Action Cats?

Ha! I forgot about that! It was one of the only funny things to happen on SNL during one of their many dry spells (which in fact define the series).

I enjoy the cat missile projectile powered by ear rotation.

Those cats look both annoyed and yet totally optimistic about their death ray outfits.

They look exactly how death-commando cats would look.

Btw, linked to the fishes on my journal. Got to spread the joy.

Actually it's funny, Jake was apparently supposed to be gay. :)

I didn't really care for it. I mean, yeah, sure, cute ending, but a crying Cybermanperson? That whole weird scene where the Doctor seems to walk right into the hands of the Cybermen and yet a second later is hanging out with the Daleks? Que? Too much.

Can you explain that scene? I watched it a couple times and it still didn't make any sense.

hah

I wasn't even referring to that scene! I was confused by the one where the Doctor waves the white flag and "surrenders" to the Cybermen. How do you go from that to walking into the room with the Daleks?

Oh! I didn't think about that. Makes sense. The copy I downloaded was somewhat poor in the audio and graphic department, though it was of the correct file size. I need to find a better copy so my collection will be complete!

But no! Because the Cybermen crash the party with the good guys from the other dimension! I just watched that scene over. It still makes no sense.
