I feel like hiding in a bowl where no one can see me. (Hat tip: constintina) But seaya has asked me to review this site: BarryChamish.com, and I must oblige, because the world must know the truth.

This is a very informative site. Like most of you, I thought that Yitzak Rabin was assassinated by a wacko zealot named Yigal Amir. But it turns out this is not the case. As Mr. Chamish asserts: "Barry Chamish and David Rutstein, both residents of Israel, state unequivocally that Shimon Peres ordered the murder of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin of blessed memory and NO ONE SUES US!" (This means that it must be true, because you know what Jews are like with lawsuits.) Anyway, our friend Barry is risking his life to bring us this sort of information, but They haven't sued him (except for this guy). Good to know.

You'd think that, since it's been over a decade since Rabin's assassination and since a great many other people have died in the meantime, we don't need to care all that much, but you'd be wrong. In fact, Shimon Peres didn't just kill Yitzak Rabin. He's a serial killer—and he's still at it!

According to Barry, Peres has also killed Ariel Sharon (even though he's technically not dead), John F. Kennedy Jr., Ofra Haza, and Wayne Owens. He's also up to some suspicious things involving ringworms. (Barry is suspiciously silent on whether Peres has killed any Palestinians.)

Just like David Icke...



Anyway, I did some research of my own, and I found out that Peres is actually responsible for killing pretty much everybody. Here is my evidence (like Barry, I'm mostly relying on badly Photoshopped graphics to prove my point):

Icke knows the score! I love Alex Jones, too. Until I saw the ringworm thing, my favourite conspiracy was the one with the fluoride. OMG the Jews are conspiring...to make our teeth really clean.

I obviously don't read enough of these people! I've read some things on Alex Jones' site about the London bombings having been the work of the UK security forces, I think.

I saw a wonderful documentary on David Icke once. What was impressive was how sane and reasonable he could sound, up to a certain point where you thought "hang on, did he really just say that or am I tripping?"

My personal conspiracy theory is that Icke and his ilk are brainwashed stooges, planted by our various governments to spread disinformation and make people who believe that governments are sometimes up to bad things look like raving nutters by association.

I agree, too. For me, everything rides on the idea that they're brainwashed, and actually believe what they're saying. I know some people claim that Icke et al are directly in the employ of their goverments - but look at their websites. Maybe I'm naive, but I really think that if governments were directly behind these people, the sites would be much slicker.

While Internet 96 is apt, you can find fragments of early good design from Internet 97 and the amazing . Alas, The Wayback Machine hasn't really archived enough to let you know just how kickass (and suprisingly smooth running on a dialup) this site was, but they were a bunch of great designers having as much fun as they could at the time. While much of the web was a train wreck, the other part was experimenting wildly in a way that The Blog Age doesn't any more.

One of the oddest things (to me) was how most sites used to have a home page THEN an index page. Like the cover of a magazine, which I guess was a technical requirement at the time only not really. Given the speed at the time, having a page before your website was a royal pain and now that we've got the speed, using such an annoying obstacle would ensure No One Ever Looks At Your Page Again.

You forgot about John Lennon. Of course, my favorite conspiracy theroy is the one put forth by filmmaker Alex Cox, in which he claims that the hat industry killed JFK, because he made it fashionable to not wear a hat, and they were trying to reverse the trend.

I looked for pictures of John Lennon being assassinated, but I couldn't find any, surprisingly. I probably also should have included Princess Di in there, even though no one actually gives a fuck.

Anyway, my other favourite (besides the clean teeth one) is that the Freemasons tried to assassinate Christopher Marlowe because he wrote nasty things about them, so he faked his own death and became William Shakespeare. I saw a movie about it and it was awesome. I need to see that Alex Cox film.
