I know that this looks like Luna. But it isn't Luna. Luna never goes outside. You'll also note—if you pick up on these sorts of details—that this cat has a goatee and Luna doesn't.

Yes; apparently it's called a "lion cut" (speaking of power). The kitty's human slave does it regularly during the summer to keep him cool and happy. I've considered doing it for Marinetti because he gets very hot this time of year.

There was this fat orange cat in my parents' neighbourhood that I think could be Agent Orange's dad (because they both have black spots all over their lips), and I *so* wanted to shave him so he would look like a lion, except that he was very catty and would only be touched if he *himself* had willed it. He rubbed his head against my leg, but when I tried to pet his head, he tried to bite me.

Pets aren't allowed at the student housing, though I can swear I saw a kitten walking around by the dumpster 2 nights ago.

LOVE the Star Trek reference! What cute kittens. About the lion cut, though - if it's for keeping them cool, why did they leave the head so furry? I'm curious, since I know nothing about long-haired cats or their furnishings.

Oh, and there's a mirror cat of Leon in my neighborhood, and every time I see him out of the corner of my eyes I get freaked for that split second. (Did he jump out the window!? OMG!!!!

The first time I saw Mirror Luna I flipped, thinking that she got out. Fortunately, there are no cats around here that look remotely like Marinetti.

I think it's just harder to shave the face and paws. But that's just a guess.

Yeah, I have to remind myself that if he actually did jump out the window and is now walking around safely on the sidewalk, it's a pretty lucky situation anyway! But that split second is too short for logic....

Doubt it, because the neck isn't shaved either. I'm with Frandroid on the aesthetic appeal.
