"I love the Berlin Wall."

"Yeah, I can see that...I guess...if you're into the whole commie kitsch thing. Or you're Banksy. Hey, what was he doing back the—"

"No, I mean I really love the Berlin Wall. It was the best thing ever. It's so sexy! It totally turns me on and stuff."

"Well, gosh. If you love the Berlin Wall so much, why don't you just marry it?"

"Great idea!"

Did everyone else know about this and just not tell me?

P.S. [livejournal.com profile] nihilistic_kid should get a bit of credit here, since the very disturbing post that he made today sent me digging through fandom_wank and that's where I found the link to Mrs. Berlin Wall.

EDIT: Totally unrelated, but this is also great. If the last installment doesn't feature a rendition of “Ballad of the 101st Fighting Keyboardists,” I will be very disappointed, though.

Ha, I posted that link ages ago! Actually I remember first finding that site about 7 years ago when someone posted it on a forum I was on - and the writer apparently saw it in her referral logs, and came and shouted at us for being so intolerant of her alternative sexuality.

She used to be married to a guillotine as well, or perhaps just engaged.

Behind the distance of the great stone wall
The howling of a new wilderness
We will change
It will change
It wasn't always like this.

But my favorite wall song is this one:

they're building a wall (F.T.M.)

Lou Dobbs, its goin' right
up your poop chute! (aye yie yie)

My grandfather ran a roofing business. "Reds Roofing".
He gave jobs to many people born in Mexico. They often
lived in his basement, often five or six at a time, and
they made money roofing and sent around 80% of it back to
their families in Mexico. Status quo. I don't think
I have a clue what that would be like. I watched one
dude accidentally drop a large amount of hot tar down his
leg, filling his work boot with burning hot tar, yet he
REFUSED to go to the hospital since they would have
deported him. That man had burns over most of his leg
and still walks with a bad limp. That's what our
wall between Mexico and America does. I've got a lot
of other stories about that fucking border and stupid
wall. Its a monument of how little we norteamericanos
actually understanding sharing. Christian nation my ass.

Anyway. No one is illegal by birth in my book.

Someone really has to write some legeslation barring cross-species marrying of walls and other structural objects. I mean, it's spreading like gay marriage spreads teh gayz.

There is a necrophilic aspect to the love of structural objects - if one must use such clinical terms at risk of spoiling the mood...

I used to be a sysadmin at the ISP where she originally had her site. Which we found out about after she'd had her name legally changed to Berliner-Maur and wanted it changed in our customer database.

Apart from the Berlin Wall thing, she also had a webforum for guillotine fetishists. It got a disturbingly large amount of traffic.

I tried dating the Golden Gate bridge once, but it really just didn't work out. She's just to upper-middle income!

Wow, I guess that's what happens when you grow up in remote villages in Sweden.

But really, how can you not be attracted to the Berlin Wall, it's so majestic, stiff and erect! Considering that, I think I might marry the Wahington Monument.

Ack, I tried desperately to find the comic of a Vagiant putting a tall pointy building in her vag. No luck though.

You know, you can email them and tell them it exists. Just a thought.

Heh. Yeah, I heard about the woman who married the Berlin wall years ago. I actually found about that when I was researching a paper on it for school.
