Marinetti is around 20 pounds. He doesn't look nearly as huge, though. That cat's head is bigger than the woman's.

I had no idea that stuff was going on in bolivia. somehow, that upsets me more than everything else, I suppose because i look to latin america for hope, and i expect despair from just about everywhere else.

Yeah and the saddest part is that it wasn't the army putting down a protest heavy-handedly, this was outright street fighting between urban elites and campesinos ie bolivians killing bolivians (not that the army isn't made up of Bolivians but you get me). It seems to have calmed down now but everybody's still in shock.

I found that story on your lj about detention camps for immigrants just as chilling though, if not more so.

That big kitty reminds me of Tuna, (my Mum's cat). Remind me to post a picture of him here, or in my LJ. You'll laugh your ass off because they look so similar!

I think he's just a BIG cat- not very fat. I bet he's remarkably muscular. (That's how Tuna is, too).

And something random: according to the poll on the Kansas City Channel, (as of 2:05am, CST, 1-12-07), 71% of cat owners consider themselves to be cat "parents," with 19971 votes. (Or parents to their cats). *grins*

I can't stomach any more icky stuff. It's been a very rocky past couple of months.

I've now got the idea of a genuinely fat cat insisting to its' vet 'I'm not fat, I just have big bones'. lol. No offence to your cat, obviously (that one looks kind of proportionate, with the huge head and everything, so I could believe it).

I can't call myself a cat parent. More of a cat servant, if anything, though I prefer "cat lady."

I saw the cat on Global news this evening, it was just chillin', layin' low, not a care in the world. I wish I was that cat today! Anyway, I think maybe the reporters on Global were thinking the same thing as you by reporting on the cat, they named him Goliath! Yeah it sure feels better to be a cat right now.
