Ironically, the Conservatives helped push some benign whistleblower law recently, if my memory recalls right.

Yes. Our Prime Minister is supposedly a cat lover, and he's been a foster parent for cats "during the past year", which makes me think that it's a marketing ploy. But who knows. His wife is a farm girl who's quite comfortable caressing cows and horses, so maybe she's the real cat lover in this couple.

It's pretty crazy at the infoshop. He's a member of the collective and was the newspaper last week in an article about the infoshop, so the media was calling us like mad yesterday trying to get the dirt on him. We just kept saying "no comment" so they went ahead and made a big deal about him playing in a band called The Suicide Pilots (who are fucking awesome, by the way).

I've known him for a few months through the infoshop and by seeing his band play (they give a pretty good show).

He's keeping a low profile right now to keep the media off of his back. I don't even know if his band is still going to play their show on the 20th. I imagine that they might attract a few more people than usual.

I worked for the GapInc for like a day. That video is true. I left when they said they have "standards" for their sweatshops, and they said they make sure they treat their six-year-olds humanely.

Hahaha. When I was growing up, there was this cop on my street who threw parties with confiscated weed. It's such an assholish thing to do.

Though I can totally relate to getting so paranoid that you think you're overdosing. Maybe he confiscated that weed from my ex.
