I always have fun at BookExpo and I don't want to get kicked out. In the same way, it's the chance of a lifetime to say something bratty to Hitchens. Whatever will I do?

Doesn't excuse Iraq. In fact, it's even worse when an atheist professes a "kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out" philosophy, because he doesn't believe in the second bit.

I suppose he's in town promoting the rah rah atheism book. I'll admit that I'm curious, but I agreed with him about Kissinger too and I still had issues with that book.

Don't get me wrong, I'm compartmentalizing and I know it--"rah rah atheism" does not make "rah rah Iraq war" ok, just...religion is probably the issue that trumps others for me, and I end up thinking (not particularly constructively): well if it hadn't been for all that pesky god biz, none of this would've happened, now would it?

He's not worth getting arrested for—he's a cheerleader, not one of the ones in charge of giving orders. Maybe I'll wear an anti-war shirt and try to get a picture with him. Although I bet he won't go for it.
