My day began with cat antics, a marble slab falling off First Canadian Place and snarling the streetcars, and a psychic cab driver (who informed me that I was a wonderful person, even if no one around me could see it).

The good news is the rest of my life is going to be awesome. Right? Right.

I should also add that his psychic powers did not include a sense of direction. He totally got lost on a series of one-way streets.

I'm beginning to wonder if I should stalk you on facebook too, so as to make inane comments about Heroes there.

My inane comments about the latest episode of Heroes:
[spoilers and idle speculation]

• DL: Not dead. And nothing had better happen to Ando or I'll cry. The big finale death will be Nathan. Candice will make an abrupt turn for the good and also die.
• Peter will end up mostly de-powered except for the ability to paint the future, because someone needs to be able to paint the future.
• Neither Peter nor Hiro will be able to kill Sylar. It'll be Mohinder or Nathan. Or maybe Claire.
• Angela Petrelli's power is prophetic dreams.
• bobthehaitian will not appear at all. Nor will Wireless, alas.

We'll see if I'm right. I totally called the Linderman/Heidi thing weeks ago.[/spoilers and speculation]

I'm rather curious as to whether the next episode will see the bomb actually go off or be taken out of commission. I am going to be very annoyed if there's a cliffhanger telling us to wait until the second season for that to be resolved.

The episode set 5 years in the future noted that everything happened as predicted in the comic except that Sylar would be killed by Hiro. This would suggest that the bomb would indeed go off, Ando would die, and that Nathan would not only live, but go on to become president. Candice would also live- she helps Nathan become president- but I think you're right about how she's likely to make a turn for the better; she's always been portrayed very positively.

I don't see Peter losing his powers, but if he's absorbing things from everyone, he's got to become unstable (and hard to write for) which would suggest that the writers will find a way to rid him of said powers or get him off the show altogether, whether through death or isolation. Mohinder and Claire are too weak to kill Sylar, Nathan's never really cared enough. Peter's incompetent. Maybe Ando will die in his foolish attempt, and Hiro will get mad and exact revenge. Molly will live because she's too cute to shoot. Maybe Bennett will convince Mohinder he's on the wrong side; perhaps Parkman will return to consciousness and disarm Mohinder beforehand.

Angela might've known about her sons because her late husband had powers. But then that doesn't explain why she seems to want Nathan to side with Linderman. DL's scene rising from the dead to kill Linderman came across as horrible, BTW. And finally, I believe you're right about the characters who won't appear.

8:45 remember secret tabby-day celebrations nearby, decide to go surprise you!
8:45-9:00 get random.present, get card at that weird bookstore, fill out card realizing am not even sure of your real.name (illegal parking #1)
9:00 find out Brunswick House is not that other similar-named place
9:05 Other place = deserted. pout. How could that movie have started on time? that's unnatural
9:15 arrive at Robarts Library, rush to 4th floor to use one of two computers with internet access for non-students to check tabby-day location #2 (illegal parking #2)
9:30 arrive at location #2. (illegal parking #3)
9:30-9:35 sidewalk: smoking hipsters. inside: chatting hipsters. back room: live music, $5 cover, packed. try to remember what sabotabby looks like, remember martinetti photos instead
9:35 screw up courage, interrupt conversations. "UH I KNOW I AM A DORK BUT ARE ANY OF YOU ON LIVEJOURNAL? I R LOST, NEED SABOTABBY, HAVE PREZENT"
9:40 blank looks all around, I surrender. Walk into Queen Video in a daze, almost rent movie, realize I have fines I can't pay, escape
10:00 home. Plan on drinking present myself, you can have the card though! maybe next year

Bonus: 3 illegal parks and no tickets! I feel like I made $90. (Carbon emissions: priceless.)

Oh no! I'm so sorry. Alas, we were all in the packed back-room (the bands sucked, incidentally, so you didn't miss anything there, but the company was damned fine). Note to self: Next time celebrate birthday in a place that a) doesn't have a back room and b) has enough room for all my friends to sit. I am not that popular, but the Cameron House is very small.

Oh, I forgot to mention, in any eventuality I would have only had the time to dash in and deliver a hello (and that bag of green tea I will now be drinking myself :P), thus the repeated illegal parking -- I wouldn't have been able to hang out even if I did chase you down and there were the room. And don't worry, it's not like you knew I were coming, even I didn't know I was until I found myself driving by Honest Ed's; not trying to question your party-planning practices. My party-finding practices on the other hand... :)
