I'm not surprised, but a bit shocked at the moment. And whenever I'm shocked I momentarily confuse that for sadness or sympathy. In a little while I'll realize I don't care that much. Still, this is pretty shocking.

It does suck - I just hope that Pakistan doesn't fall into civil war.

I was listening to the CBC this morning, and they were saying that there are a few people who might be able to step into the leadership of the party - the man who was the VP while she was in exile is the only one that I can remember, but they thought that he might be able to pull together the different factions successfully.

Man, I'm so inspired by Bush's reaction. It was a cowardly terrorist act of terrorist cowards acting in terror and cowering terribly terror cowards kill colonel. I know I'm a true American liberal because I hate agreeing with him on anything just because he's so ineloquent and has like five words he uses anytime a tragedy befalls anyone in the world now. I mean, it's to the point where if Bush said he likes sex*, I would go celibate for life.

*I would say "Unlikely because he is a Republican" but that's a 90s view of Republican sexuality. He probably likes something unfathomably kinky because he is a Republican.

It was, indeed, a Bauhaus reference. But I think our views on which direction to place toilet paper on the roller might be incompatible.

I just love the way that the first word that politicians come out with in situations like this is "cowardly". I'm not a great fan of suicide bombers but I reckon they have a bunch more guts than Gordon Brown or Shrub.
