How disappointing

The Conservative campaigners, a sunny young woman and a smiling young man who looked like he'd been clipped from a 1950s ad, knocked on my door this morning. Alas, it's 10:30 and I was just making my coffee—I was still in my pajamas, no less. So instead of inviting them in and tying up their time—which is really what one should do when Pure Evil knocks on your door, I politely told them that I didn't vote for fascists, thank you, and off they went.

I hope they come back when I'm a little more prepared for company.

Hmmm... I had a nice conversation with a couple of Young Liberal types a few days ago who were there to tell me that voting Liberal prevents a Harper majority (in Trinity Spadina, where the Conservative vote share is about 5%). They didn't like it when I questioned them on their electoral math and pointed out that the winner in T-S doesn't affect how many seats the Conservatives have.
