living conditions
Jan. 9th, 2005 09:04 pmWhile Abu Mazen gloats over winning the "election" to become Palestine's latest prison guard, I am at home dealing with a slum landlord of my own.
Because the hot water has gone out once again. This means that now I don't have hot water at home or at work.
It might look like I'm doing a happy dance of sarcastic joy, but that's actually me shivering after having accidentally stepped into a bathtub full of FREEZING COLD water.
Also, the nice Kurdish commies seem to have packed up their shwarma joint and gone elsewhere. I hope this doesn't mean the end of recycled heat from their ovens, or it is going to be a very long, cold winter.
Now taking bets on how many days/weeks before I can take a shower again.
