Great news!

Charlie the Cat just started taking Remeron, aka mirtazapine. I've taken mirtazapine, so it's funny. In cats they use it not as an antidepressant but as an appetite stimulant and anti-emetic. They call it "meowtazapine", because it makes them very meowy and a little stoned. (You don't give it to them every day - about every three days.) Charlie is usually a little meowy and food-oriented and likes his petting, but now he's super-clingy, yelly, and starving. So I guess it works. But he seems kind of out of it. RIght now he's trying to curl up on my space bar.

That kind of sounds like the cutest/most annoying drug ever.

I also have a cat trying to sit on my space bar. Cocoa doesn't believe that I should be allowed to type properly. Also, she's made of dark matter.

It's the only thing that explains it.

She weighs 15 pounds. I checked. This is less than Marinetti weighed when he was normal. When Marinetti weighed 20 pounds and sat on my arm, my arm did not fall asleep and he could be dislodged. And yet, when Cocoa does the same, I am trapped until she decides to move.

Hence, dark matter.
