In the meantime, I downloaded the new Tom Waits album, which is one of those things I'll eventually buy. Anyone else heard it yet? I think "Sins of My Father" is my favourite so far, but "Day After Tomorrow" is cool for being rather topical and stuff.

carmen_lj found a really mean trailer for the new Doctor Who series. All I'm sayin' is they better get this in Canuckistan or I'm going to be bothering all you Brits to tape it for me and ship it across the Pond. Because, yum.

I saw the very first episode.When it was current.Had no idea it was science fiction until the last scene,when the call box disappeared,.Still remember it very vividly.
I also remember the first Star Trek episode I ever saw.Where I was sitting,etc.
There was also a kid's show from Australia called The Magic Boomerang.And there was Razzle Dazzle,and Junior Forest Rangers.

my brother was Ob.Sessed. with dr. who. even as a wee tot i knew what a geek he was. i only vaguely remember the show, but i remember it being budget, fairly cool, and totally over my head. *sigh*

the ankle looks better. hooray for self-medicating!

oh and OMG i can't believe i didn't mention this until now, but due to the utter lack of structure in my living situation my copy of YDS lay unopened in a pile for weeks without my knowledge and i finally discovered it was there and it's awesome! i haven't read it in depth yet because, umm, heavy, but it's totally kick-ass and i'm honored that my stupid drunken escapades were included and omg i way <333 you lol!!1!11!eleventy-one!!
