I was wondering why I was having such a good day at work, and then I realized that it was because I wasn't wearing any pants.

Why do we call that piece of loincloth an underwear when we don't wear anything over it? It should be called just "wear."

The British call them "pants." I'm inclined to favour that, as it leads to cross-cultural wacky hijinks.

I agree. Not in all parts of Britain though. In the highlands of Scotland, they call underpants a nuisance.
