Well, yes - GoFundMe stories do typically point to massive societal failure. It's just that society can't be fixed overnight but individual problems MUST be solved immediately or on a relatively short-term basis. Extinguishing fires today and working on better fireproofing measures tomorrow and next week. Distributing food from food banks while advocating for a more equitable distribution of wealth and opportunity in the medium to long term.
