Things I want out of this: a Shield of Zombie Porn, an Amulet of Yiddish Curses, and Amulet of Curry, a Sceptre of Sailors, an Amulet of Nestor Makhno, an Axe of Art Terrorism (definitely), and maybe a Sword of Utopia. I also appreciated that my dungeon had Zapatista tapestries and carvings depicting icons with correct spelling.

By the way, what is an owlbear? roter_terror was one, and that seems appropriate somehow.

Also, is anyone else suspicious about LJ's Very Special Message to All of Us today? "No, you're not old or anything...but we want to know when your birthday is. So that we can purge you geezers from LJ-land and exile you to Vox send you a card or something."

Wow, I had no idea what Vox was 'til just now. I Googled it. I'd heard of "Lifehacker" but had no idea what that was. Weird.

Actually, Vox does kinda look cooler than LJ. I've been wanting to get more serious with my "blogging." Scuttlebutt is that there's something called a LEFT BLOGOSOPHERE (!!!!!!!) out there that one can perchance join, if one's lucky enough! And I was going to "port" my syndicalist LJ to my new cultpunk.com domain anyway; that would be multi-purpose site, including a blog. LJ seems like it'd still be useful, because there's something to be said for LJ's verbal (as opposed to visual) interactivity that MySpace doesn't feature. But LJ still attracts a lot of, well, adolescent, gothy drama-queeny attitudes, and has an unfortunate stigma to it, so that's one's writings on it will almost never be taken seriously by anyone outside it's insular confines.

That's true. But I enjoy the arguments, which don't happen on the grown-up blogs unless one has a huge audience.

Owlbears are from AD&D.

They're basically huge bear type things with owl heads. And they can grab you and hold you in a death-grip that's impossible to escape.

Hah! My nerd pedigree comes in useful!
