main proof that I am actually female must be my mad tendency to buy shoes. (not necessarily wear them). I counted them the other day (the plan was to rid myself of some of them) and found out that I have no less than 31 pairs of shoes! ARGH. Most of them thrifted, some of them very old, but still... 31! I have thrown out about half of them now, so now I am down at a reasonable 15...
