It may be complicated? They want to be able to post to it regularly and have a calendar of events. At any rate, it's more complicated than setting up a blog, which given my time limitations, is all I'm willing to do. :)

You think people ever come to me with specifics? No, they just say: "Can you design me a website?" And I say: "Not unless you pay me a higher hourly rate than I get teaching, because I hate designing websites and why don't you just make a blog?"

Anyway, they have not given me much information, beyond that they need to update it regularly and have a calendar of events.

Haha, awesome. Well, feel free to point them at me -- I'm sure you'll have many other offers, as people with time on their hands (i.e. unemployed) need to keep their skills fresh and have something current in their portfolio.

Is it at least a good cause? Or a not-bad one? I dun wanna work on smut 'cause it doesn't look good on the resume unless you're doing security and billing... ;)

i don't know much about web design but since i started learning about word press i get the feeling you can do pretty much anything with it. If it was up to me I'd make all webdesigners use wordpress and make every other CMS (or at least the non-opensource CMS) illegal. haha maaan i miss talking code, and no one is around these days to appreciate it with me. :)

sure. only thing is that i don't have a portfolio, besides that one site. but if calendar of events and regular posting are their only requirements then i'm pretty sure i can do the whole thing on wordpress in a week and then i can spend a day with them in training to show them how to make their own updates.
