corwin77 and I met up for Vietnamese food and zombification (fortunately for the nice people at the restaurant, in that order), and then shambled to Trinity-Bellwoods to meet up with
curgoth.

The completed Hipster!Zombie costume. You can't see the MySpace shirt, but I am wearing it.

The boys.

That's Oderus Urungus of Gwar, Grand Marshall of the 2010 Zombie Walk. (!!!!squee!!!!) Also, I'm glad someone thought of the Rob Ford thing, because it only occurred to me after I'd acquired half of my costume.

Fangirling Oderus and the Cuttlefish of Cthulhu (which, for propriety's sake within the boundaries of Toronto theWay Too Uptight Good), needed to be sheathed. I was actually trying to lick it for the sake of LJ camwhoreage tradition, but it was too high up.
This said, I actually got to talk to Mr. Urungus, who is every bit as nice as you would expect.

In fairness, there were children present.
My God, can you imagine what happens when this kid becomes a teenager and brings his first girlfriend or boyfriend home to meet the parents? Out comes the family album. Hah.

Shamble shamble.

curgoth's contacts = teh awesome.

Zombie!Nun and Zombie!Monk.

Vegan!Zombie wants GRAAAAAIIINS.

The scariest thing at the Zombie Walk (look closer).

Closer!
The best thing about this person was that he or she was cranking "Earth Died Screaming" by Tom Waits at full volume as we passed by.

Hipster!Zombie meets her soulmate. In Kensington Market. Obviously.

curgoth went up to this guy and said (as we all would), "Why are you wearing that stupid bunny suit?" We were all disappointed when the guy did not respond, "Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?"

Zombie!Furry and All You Can Eat Sushi!Zombie. I don't think you can make out the sushi, but they were little fingers and such.

My favourite costume.
Well, until I scanned Flickr and found this one:
Click for Schrödinger's Cat Zombie.
We met
mycrazyhair just outside of Kensington, went out for Korean, and de-zombified as much as possible. Now I must do more book. Sigh.

Date: 2010-10-25 02:37 pm (UTC)I think those zombie Smurfs were in the Calgary Zombie Walk as well, as evidenced from my Calgary friend's photos. I love the idea that they tour all the zombie walks in their Smurf costumes.
Your costume is total win.
