Hey, would you all like to see what I do when I am on sick leave and I start turning into a kooky housewife? Of course you do.



So this lamp, I've had since I was a little kid. It's not that exciting. My childhood best friend's father made it and gave it to me, so it's kind of sentimental, but basically it's a boring lamp.




It looked okay when it was lit up, but mostly I don't have it on.


I femme'd it up quite a bit.


See these lace rosettes right there? I made those fuckers.


And here it is lit up.

I'm also working on a collage thing but it doesn't look like much yet. Oh, and a book, but that's paid work.

Of course I have nowhere to put it. I'll eventually find some kind of side table when I get proper furniture in the library, I guess.

Now, that looks much more like lamps from my childhood now. I have boring lampshade on my Mr Bump lamp. I could do the same, only with bandages! You are an inspiration!

My wee brother says that when you are pregnant you supposedly start doing crafts around the house. Can't imagine it myself...but hmmm, bandaged Mr Bump lampshade! I think LJ has stopped allowing me pictures as is free account. I will have to get a Tumblr or ask you to Facebook if I start obsessively posting baby photos in the winter!

Perhaps a bellydance hipscarf and a flashing red bulb for your next one? You could have a whole room full of lamps with different personalities...and give them names...and pretend they have arguments...
