sweet! in college i made up "feminist bingo" and sent it around to all my fellow [sister?] women's studies majors to keep us sane as we slogged through pages upon pages of othering, oppression, subverting the dominant paradigm, and womyn.

The Nation piece was interesting, though somehow I suspect it was somewhat self-serving. I also think he was a bit disingenuous about the whacko religionists within the neocon fold.

Well, he is an ex-neo-con by his own admission. How do you think he was disingenuous? I find the marriage between the secular former-leftist neo-cons and the Bible thumpers an interesting contradiction; he didn't seem to go into much detail about it, though.

Cute icon! It seems I've seen something similar to this on the third page of a comic I've read. It was something about two bums ;) Does this mean you have chosen a new name? Either way, you need to keep both kitty icons: (both Sabbo and Hellraiser). Also, kudos on the execution.

Since the Nation likes to pander to its liberal audience, it are unlikely to want to point that out that the neocons didn't have to travel very far politically to go from cold war liberals to where they are now. I think that the political center shifted a bit in the US and they were disgusted that the Democrats put up McGovern, who voted for the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, as an anti-war candidate. The influence of Trotsky on them is minimal.
