Free icons, and more Ted!
Mar. 2nd, 2006 11:35 pmI've been making icons lately that I don't plan on actually using. I kind of like them, though, so I thought I'd toss them out into LJ and see if anyone wanted them.
( Kitties, hedgies, and young Republicans, oh my! )
And now, the Ted Nugent Quote of the Day:
I'm done my latest scarf. Pictures to come.
( Kitties, hedgies, and young Republicans, oh my! )
And now, the Ted Nugent Quote of the Day:
Oh, and by the way, smoking will not make you sexy, a party animal, cool, or a cowboy, no matter how much you do it. You knew that didn't you? Good. And they don't taste good either. Try licking an ashtray. And instead of slamming me for not minding my own business, I, as your American BloodBrother, merely ask you to think about it. Quality of life upgrade so all of us live as long as possible, as healthy as possible, to fight as strongly as possible. Too much to ask? Don't think so. I make these points because I DEEPLY CARE. I do not take the term BloodBrother lightly. I take it gigantically to heart. I want all Americans to be better, to be willing and better prepared to fight for what we believe in. Equality is for sheep. Be better or get sheered. And in the next paragraph, we have:
I applaud Budweiser and Anheuser-Busch for their generous conservation and prohunting campaigns. Same for Coors and their consistent support of hunting and the Second Amendment. But who is in charge of your drinking habits? Who? Your buddies? Use your brain, comrade. Don't pickle it.Check it out. This book has corporate sponsorship.

I will say, though, that CUPE's leadership has done a shite job of not only informing the public about the reasons for the potential strike, but also of informing its own members. My mum's CUPE local is large and quite conservative; they are not going to walk out and no one's told them why they should.
The OSSTF (high school teachers' union) has told its members that they do not have the right to not cross picket lines, should there be any, once again begging the question of why it bothers to claim to be a union in the first place.
If you have news or analysis links about the strike, post 'em in the comments.
EDIT: Looks like it's on.
BRIDE OF EDIT: No, wait, it's off!
Not related but nevertheless interesting: Aristide's exile may be about to end.
And when you see this on Cute Overload, how could you not want to do this with it?
Oh yes, and there's a new Gaybortion!: Knitting Party!
