The new Minister of Ed is the supremely-qualified-to-run-a-public-school-system former Harperite hack Stephen Lecce. Lecce attended St. Michael's College School as a lad, which charges $22,000/year for tuition and in these parts, is best known for a brutal series of gang rapes involving the football team. It boasts an average of 23 students in a class, hence boys that graduate from there are not very resilient.

So that is very promising.

Meanwhile, Drug Fraud has increased the size of his cabinet from 21 to 28, which is an added $860,488 cost to taxpayers. Apparently there is a lot more work than expected when running a province into the ground, but unlike with schools, hospitals, and city councils, provincial government doesn't function more efficiently when you cut it by 25-50%. Funny that. I feel like someone needs to go back to Grade 6 math, and for once, it's not me.

Seriously, what does it say about a government when it has to demote all of its most prominent people. Nothing good, I'd imagine.

Interesting. A new minister for red tape reduction which is surely like an ADM for bureaucracy reduction. Christine Elliott stays put. Sources tell me she ripped Fraud a new one at a recent cabinet meeting and refused to defend his Public Health cuts telling him that they were "idiotic" and he could defend them himself.

I still hate her but she seems the least stupid of them, which isn't saying much. She probably wants a career after this debacle is over.

Interesting, also, that she didn't get demoted. Her late husband's name still "graces" the Finance Department building on Elgin Street here in Ottawa, thanks to his "work" as Harper's right hand. So I suspect she's still got a power base to be wary of.
