Further London adventuring

Today we did All the Things: Went to Soho, wandered around bookstores and had excellent Chinese food, took the riverboat to the Tate Modern and saw the Natalia Goncharova exhibit, went to Camden, had the best vegan pies ever, and explored a few of the local pubs, including the famous World’s End.





How is this a thing that exists? Did the awesome bookstore make their own or were these mass produced? I will never know because I’m too shy to ask.



In addition to Goncharova, there was an exhibition on the media and there were Guerrilla Girls posters, of which this one is the best one.



There go my plans for the rest of the day.



No lie if I could eat this for the rest of my life, I absolutely would.

I remember that Guerilla Girls poster from when I went last year. Is this the exhibit that also had Carrie Mae Weems and Carolee Schneeman? I loved that!

I think it might be because I could have sworn it was there when I went, and I'm pretty sure the gift shop had guerrilla girls merch?

... Hilariously, the timeline they had on the wall with artists' names (and which you could buy a small copy of) was really lacking in women.

I think it is, but with all the great stuff there in the summer, I can imagine it would be easy to miss. The only reason I found it is that they were in between special exhibits and I checked out their perm collection, which is heartening for how they've put forward women and POCs.

I am heading to London next Monday so I might just pop in to the Tate Modern.
