Oh. I need to write something about a brief perusal of the Craigslist dating section a little while ago. Most of the ads specify race. I guess old-school newspaper personal ads used to do that too, but I find it bizarre. Like, nothing about the person's interests half the time, but lots of "IM HORNEY ARE THEIR ANY AZN GIRLS IN TORONTO??!!one!?!" or "Sophisticated professional gentleman seeks slender white woman." I don't know why I was so surprised by that, but I was.

I met one a couple of months ago through a friend. Seriously disappointing- I was expecting a human in demon form, but he turned out to be this cute chubby little nerd-guy with a speech impediment.

The trouble with a dating site for them is that they all secretly want to get off with left-wing women. Um. No, seriously, I know this for a fact. They are, on paper, strict about maintaining a sharp divide between tech and academic. In practice, I hear it's more flexible. But it's not like there's a shortage of history teachers.
