After the third weird dream/nightmare post I just read on my friends list, having posted one myself this morning, I gotta know if we're facing a slake moth invasion or some shit.

no but my IRL day was pretty nightmarish does that count?

Well, then I guess I should not have answered "no."

we must defeat this moth invasion. u think its a coincidence that obama was voted into power or u think the moths got to him? maybe they're controlling his brain. or maybe they're holding someone dear to him hostage to make him do what they want him to do.

I almost never remember my dreams these days. They're not really worth remembering anyway from what I used to remember.

And since I said that I actually remembered last night's dream. It was a board game played with the tops of coffee jars, and I had one playing piece for each of the quarter days (Festival of the Annunciation, Midsummer, St Michael's day, and Christmas) and other people had other calendars. You were playing and you had different pieces for days in the Jewish calendar. I don't claim this makes any sense: it was a dream.

Yes, but I figured it was due to reading Clive Barker before bed.

I forgot what it was like. That is, I remembered all the ethereal otherworldly stuff, and not the visceral gross stuff. (Am reading Everville.)

I have terrifying waking dreams because I have PTSD. Today's was a nurse injecting me with arsenic. That woke me the fuck up.

it's a change from the people breaking in my house one.

Fuck, that's horrible. :/

It's ok. I woke up alive! As awful as my dreams are, I never die in them.

I have been having a lot of vivid dreams, but none of them really nightmarish, just kind of weird, yet vivid. Nothing exciting though. No sex or violence.

From: [identity profile] marnanel.livejournal.com
I haven't had a dream containing sex or violence for years. I wish to complain. Unless the result will be nurses injecting me with arsenic or something, in which case I'm JUST FINE.

I don't remember, but I'm saying yes because you're referencing Slake Moths.

Do you know anyone who'd be okay with having their head put on backwards and fitted with a mirror?

Britney Spears... it can only improve things!

Yes, but I always* have nightmares, so I don't know that it counts.

*PTSD: it's always good for a laugh

Almost all the dreams I remember lately are dirty. Are there slake moths that exclusively induce erotic dreams? Because there should be.

Yeah, I actually read the book pretty recently, but a kid can always hope, right?

I have dreams of these fascist cops/soldier driving black old VW bugs chasing me. Or of a big swirling cloud that causes me to disintegrate slowly. Or nuclear holocaust...I get that one alot.

Yeah, no shit. My elementary school had a bomb shelter!

I remember doing a duck-and-cover drill in Jr. High. We had a couple drills in elementary school, too, where we went down into the shelter. Pretty cool.

I haven't had any nukular dreams since Ronald Reagan, though. I'm glad I found Dusan Makavejev's movies - most of my dreams are *just* like Sweet Movie.

Bad bad bad. Woke up disoriented and sweaty. But I don't think it had anything to do with the actual content?? Oh yeah it was one of my 'I'm living in this spectacular and vaguely familiar house with these strange people and there's something going on' things. Man, if I could build the architecture in my dreams...!

Had another one!

I odn't remember the details. but now that I've been reminded of slake moths, i am guaranteed a nightmare tonight!

I dreamed my mother was a cyclops.

I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep, luckily it was already morning and apparently my last dream of the night.

From: [identity profile] cap-scaleman.livejournal.com
I dunno if it really was a nightmare. It wasn't truly horrific but somewhat of a nightmare. Eh...

No, but I had a very weird dream that bordered on nightmarish. It included tipping a canoe by coliding with an underwater leopard.

Didn't sleep! But the night before was definitely a creepfest.

I was on a large ship made of hardboard battling, or witnessing a battle, with a giant alien. I'm not sure if that rates as a nightmare or as something seriously awesome.

I had major insomnia, but don't remember any dreams.

I saw the Flaming Lips' Christmas on Mars last night, so I think that counts.

An overnight thunderstorm somehow triggered a dream that I came home to find out that my new asshole-boss was firing me. I don't like my job, but since I'm currently my family's sole source of income, this was enough of a nightmare to wake me in the midst of lightning flashes.

I was so drunk that I doubt I had any dreams...

It's totally because of the full moon. At least it would be if you asked my yoga teacher. However, I didn't have any nightmares. I don't ever have nightmares, despite all the pregnancy books telling me that it's normal to have them. (my subconscious doesn't even seem to have realised that I am, uh, having a baby in two months *pokes subconsciousness*). Rasmus, however, had a bit of a nightmare about trying to carry the baby and then losing it or something. He might possibly be more maternal than me...
