We had a modest gathering last night, but the food was anything but.

We has a kitten.

She is only a temporary kitten that we are cat-sitting for, but this means that we Eyrie denizens are officially Crazy Cat Ladies, as there are now three kitties on the premises. Unfortunately, the kitten is Not At All Pleased with Marinetti and Luna occupying the same apartment, and keeps hissing at them. She is holed up in zingerella's room.

I made an attempt to introduce them, since Marinetti and Luna were curious and seemed to want to be friends. Marinetti went straight for Aoife's food, and Luna followed, puffed up and skittish. Aoife just hissed. A lot. This has not dissuaded Marinetti at all, as he's scratching at the door, trying to meet the ZOMG NEW KITTEN.

She doesn't seem to care for me a great deal either (though it may be because I smell like the other two cats), but I will try to get pictures later. She's very cute.

In other news, I am off soon to protest about my friends getting arrested. If you're in Toronto, you should come too. I'm worried that people might not come out as it's in the middle of a weekday and the weather is horrid.

All in all, Pi Day was a great success. Also I drank a lot.

I fear I am getting sick. I'm always tired these days, but today I feel particularly flattened. This is worrisome. My information processing abilities seem to be affected as well, which is even more annoying.

Anyway, that shouldn't stop me from reporting on our fantastic New Recipe Sunday. These things just keep getting better and better.

Dear Downstairs Neighbour,

Yes, I realize that you only own four articles of clothing and you need to get them washed RIGHT THE FUCK NOW, even though I was using the washing machine first. I realize that your situation is much, much more dire than mine. However, that is no excuse to take my clothes out of the washing machine and throw them in the dryer and turn it on. All of my skanky t-shirts are tight enough and my bras would like to retain their elasticity and underwires, thank you very much.

Were you raised in a fucking barn? Because it still wouldn't be an excuse for:

HIM: "Oh, I just put your clothes in the dryer."
ME: "OMG YOU DIDN'T TURN IT ON DID YOU?"
HIM: "Just now. Why, did you have to take something out?
ME: "YES MOST OF MY CLOTHES PLEASE TO NOT EVER, EVER BE DOING SOMETHING LIKE THAT."

Also? zingerella made brownies. So I have a nice, fresh, warm brownie and you don't.

This was the biggest yet, with nine people in attendance. Which means a lot of food. Probably more food than I can coherently describe.
