Massive photo post
Jul. 9th, 2006 11:09 amI've been busy, and so has my digital camera. So here are about a gazillion photos.

Marinetti admires my kneesocks. He should, because they are awesome kneesocks.
As you can see, it's coming along nicely, although only the lettuce is ready for eatin'. We have big tomatoes:

Wee tomatoes:

Tomatoes everywhere:

The celery looks like celery:

The cucumbers...

...are doing that cool cucumber thing:

The eggplants are flowering a bit:

The hot pepper is peppering:

The other peppers are doing their thing:

And the lettuce is fucking out of control:

We eat lettuce every day and it still looks like this.

Marinetti is on top of the world:

But he's not above skritching:

People get very excited about Italy around my 'hood:

There are some Farsi speakers on my friends list. This is for you:

Black helicopter spotted over Queen St. West:

Actually, it was really bloody annoying. There have been a lot helicopters around lately, and I'm not sure why.
This rally was called a few days ago by a group that no one had really heard of, although it was endorsed by all of the Palestine solidarity groups. It took place in front of the Israeli consulate, where we (Jewish Women's Committee to End the Occupation, Coalition for a Just Peace, and Al-Awda) hold a vigil every Friday and are lucky if we get 30 people.
About 300 people showed up.

Overall, we got a great reception, with people honking their horns and stopping to talk to us and sign petitions. I missed all of the speeches (I was on Wall-duty—holding part of the five-person Apartheid Wall banner—and flyer-duty), but I'm sure they were good.
John B.'s photos are here. I don't know if I'm in any of them, as he just posted them.
