Dear [livejournal.com profile] sabotabby's Id,

You do not need more stuff.

No, not even a $60 mini-BBQ-grill-thingie.

No, not even if it comes in bright green.

You are not even going to be around this summer.

Signed,

[livejournal.com profile] sabotabby's Superego

By the way, one free internet to anyone who obtains an advance reading copy of this atrocity and mails it to me (or sends me a torrent; that might be easier). You will also get commentary.

It sounds like a computer game, actually. Like Resident Evil - all that reading stuff on typewriters and uncovering plots - only really, really boring.

As for BBQ, well, build a clay oven instead and make pizzas. Or change your birthday to a different date then get it for your birthday. That's what I did when my brother died not long after my birthday. I changed my birthday to a different day of a different month so it didn't remind me, and then people got confused and gave me two lots of presents. Though not a bbq, but I have no garden anyway. And I am more sentimental about birthdays whereas you really don't like them.

Ah well then, no need for bbq. You can get a grilling machine if you just happen to like grilling.
Birthdays, smurfdays.

I can't wait to see your commentary!

It looks like it comes out tomorrow. I read 1.5 Left Behind books but I don't think I can do this one. I'm just going to have to wait for your commentary.

I feel like he should not have been quite so coy about his ambitions and should have called it like....The Frountainhead. Or Matlas Shrugged.

Meanwhile, the cameras are finally rolling for Atlas Shrugged:

Matlas Shrugged for the win! 'Customers buy this book with The Ultimate Suburban Survivalist Guide: The Smartest Money Moves to Prepare for Any Crisis by Sean Brodrick' says Amazon, 'but we are all sold out of both.'

Entirely irrelevant, but saw this about Tea Party weirdos and thought I'd post it as I'm too sleeepy to read it all. I have studiously avoided finding out what teabaggers were until now as I knew they'd be something scary!
